About the Opportunity Reporting to the Technical Services Manager the Mining Engineer will be responsible to develop and implement mine designs, schedules and production forecasts in line with production requirements. Ensuring compliance within safety, environmental, legislative and statutory requirements. Key Responsibilities Mine planning, and scheduling (short, medium, and long-term). Monthly forecasting and production reporting. Technical support for the planning, scheduling, and underground mine design ensuring adherence to company goals and targets. Support other technical functions of the mine. Provide technical support and advice to production teams. Implement mine designs, plans and schedules in relation to production targets with production coordinators and the senior leadership team. Underground inspections and conduct ventilation surveys. Provide reporting and analysis on improved techniques beneficial for mining productivity. About You The successful candidates will display the following skills, experience, attributes and qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering. Demonstrated history of working in underground coal mining. High level of analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in a variety of mine planning software including XPAC, AutoCad, Vulcan, Ventsim, and MS Office suite. Strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
